Indus Dyeing School :
While conducting a survey on the lifestyles of the workers, it came to the company’s notice that more than 50% of the children of the workers at our factory do not go to schools. This called for an education center within the colony that would provide affordable, yet high quality education which would encourage those parents to send their children to school.
Armed with this vision, The Indus Dyeing School was founded in 2014 with the aim of making excellent education accessible to the children of workers at Indus Dyeing Mills, Hyderabad. However, as the word of the level of education provided spread, parents from outside the factory too brought their kids in for admissions.
Within two years, the school now stands strong with a strength of 170 students and 12 teachers. Spread on 2000 square yards, Indus Dyeing school caters from Grade 1 to Grade 5 and is equipped with a total of 16 rooms, including a library, computer lab, science lab and a multimedia room. The school also has a spacious playground and a canteen for children.
These are the same students that might have not ever gone to school. As a welfare project of Indus Dyeing Mills, this school is all set to get bigger and better and to keep encouraging the factory’s workers to send their children to acquire quality education.
